Hater

The lack of patriotism in the states is disheartening.
This woman hates America so much, she has mutilated the very symbol of our freedom.
A banner that once waved now drapes on a hanger with the likes of sweaters with cats on them and mock turtlenecks.
I wouldn’t be surprised if she had bald eagle casserole for dinner.

interesting that you think she isn't patriotic, while i would think just the opposite. what better way to show that you love america than to don the flag. but, i also assume that this fabric was never actually a flag.

Hello,

Please excuse my facetiousness.
I don’t think this woman hates America and I don’t think her shirt was made of an actual flag.
But your comment is exactly the reason for my post.
I don’t assume that those who strut around in flag themed attire or cover their bumper with flag stickers are any more patriotic than those who don’t.
Patriotism is not that easy.
I would be more inclined to believe that the guy handing out flyers (that I don’t want) about the legalization of pot (which I don’t smoke) in front of my grocery store is the patriot.
Patriotism is interactive.
If you want to support America, then never stop questioning it. And continue to challenge your leaders.
America is not a brand. And it’s more than a country. It’s an idea.
And it’s livelihood relies heavily on people who do more than pair it with some shorts and a hat.
